Roles & Responsibility

Authors submit their work to Enriched Publications because we value its reputation and its cost-effective publication facilities as a place to report their ideas (usually research) to the related community. Authors rightfully expect Enriched Publications to facilitate this goal through a smooth and timely process of review and production. In return Enriched Publications expects that authors submit works that are ready for publication and that authors be responsive to reasonable requests during the publication process. There are four crucial components in creating a quality publication where the author has both rights and responsibilities in their interaction with Enriched Publications:

1.     AUTHORSHIP,

2.     REVIEW OF THE SUBMISSION,

3.     PROCESSING OF AN ACCEPTED WORK,

4.     DISSEMINATION

Authorship

Authorship implies responsibility and accountability for published work. It confers credit and has important academic, social, and financial implications. Authorship also The following recommendations are intended to ensure that contributors who have made substantive intellectual contributions to a paper are given credit as authors, but also that contributors credited as authors understand their role in taking responsibility and being accountable for what is published.

Because authorship does not communicate what contributions qualified an individual to be an author, some journals now request and publish information about the contributions of each person named as having participated in a submitted study, at least for original research. Editors are strongly encouraged to develop and implement a contributor ship policy, as well as a policy that identifies who is responsible for the integrity of the work as a whole. Such policies remove much of the ambiguity surrounding contributions, but leave unresolved the question of the quantity and quality of contribution that qualify an individual for authorship.

Thus, ENRICHED PUBLICATIONS expects authors to

·         Obtain appropriate permission for the reuse of content copyrighted by others

·         When reusing portions of their own previously published work in a new manuscript, explicitly state within the text of the manuscript which portions were published elsewhere, and provide references

·         Appropriately acknowledge all persons who have directly contributed to the work

·         And authors can expect ENRICHED PUBLICATIONS to

·         Protect the reputation of authors by seeking appropriate redress for the plagiarism of works they authored to which ENRICHED PUBLICATIONS holds copyright

Reviewing

When an author makes a submission, a confidential review process is initiated. The aim of the review process is to make an appropriate and timely decision on whether a submission should be published. Such decisions are based on proper review by well-qualified and impartial reviewers. Authors have the right to expect prompt, clear, and specific feedback. To facilitate this process, a submission must follow publication requirements and authors must be attentive in responding to questions.

Thus authors can expect ENRICHED PUBLICATIONS to

·         Keep them informed on the status of their submission

·         Use impartial reviewers

·         Issue timely review and clear feedback

·         Maintain confidentiality.

·         And ENRICHED PUBLICATIONS expects authors to

·         Submit their work to only one publication at a time

·         Respond to reviews with one voice even if there are multiple authors

·         Respond positively to requests to act as referee for other papers.
